Austrian Financial and Insurance Markets Regulation
Austrian financial and insurance markets are supervised by two National Competent Authorities.
Financial Market Authority
The FMA is the authority competent for banking supervision, macroprudential supervision, for the supervision of insurance companies and pension funds, and for securities regulation. The FMA monitors compliance with the relevant rules. It is also the Austrian resolution authority.

Oesterreichische Nationalbank
The OeNB monitors financial stability. In banking supervision, the OeNB is in charge of fact finding: it undertakes on-site inspections, analyzes the information complied and drafts reports. The OeNB is responsible for processing reporting data.
