Spanish Financial and Insurance Markets Regulation

Spanish financial and insurance markets are supervised by three National Competent Authorities.

Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV)

The Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores is a dependent body of the State Secretariat for Economy and Business Support of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, in charge of supervising the stock exchange values in Spain.

The General Directorate of Insurance and Pension Funds is an administrative body that depends on the Secretary of State for Economy and Business Support, attached to the Ministry of Economy and Business.

Banco de España

The Banco de España is the national central bank. In the framework of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), it's the supervisor of the Spanish banking system along with the European Central Bank.
